Solta belongs to the medium sized group of Adriatic Islands. However, judging it by its natural endowments, it is certainly amongst the most beautiful. A mere 16km from Split, Solta has 60km of coastline interspersed with four harbours and 24 bays, it offers the visitor quick approach and a safe, pleasant stay.
Vistiors can reach Solta within 15 to 20 minutes by boat or in 45 minutes by car ferry operating regularly. The island's harbours and bays have a capacity to accomodate some thousand boats, while the numerous natural beaches offer sufficient space for many more
swimmers. Solta is appreciated mainly because of its virgin landscape. The southern side of the island with its breathtaking bays, beaches, islets and cliffs is particularly beautiful. The flora found on the island is of no lesser value; with its 2000ha of unspoilt Mediterranean vegetation, including trees, bushes and grasses, it lures the visitor to take a deep breath of the fragrant air and experience ancient Mediterranean, the cradle of civilization. Solta has always been, and still remains, the perfect combination of land, sea, air, nature, and man. And this treasure is what Solta offers visitors tired of modern urban life.
A 45 minute ferry ride from the main town of Split takes the visitors to the Island of Solta. Today, Solta remains as an oasis of untouched natural beauty, because of the lack of industry and tourism. The traditional way of life is still preserved: As the sun comes up the day begins. Fishermen take to the seas, while you walk to town to get freshly backed bread, home made wine and the daily portion of the town's gossip. As you enjoy your morning coffee and talk about yesterday's events, the fishermen come back offering their catch.
After a day filled with activities like wind surfing, swimming, and fixing little things around the house, you and your friends sip wine, enjoying grilled fish and watching the sunset behind the distant mountains.
Necujam - This is the most recent settlement on Solta. It evolved from a number of summer houses and hotel buildings. Many consider Necujam the most beautiful bay and the touristic center of the island. Necujam offers sports activities, restaurants, bars, and
night clubs. Hotel association HTP Solta offers pleasant holiday accomodations in various categories, and many tourists have been coming back for decades.
Project idea
Given the exclusive location of the property, set on a tranquil beach front just a few minutes from the bustling village of Necujam, the concept is to develop 3 luxury villas each on 1400m2 of seafront land and 31 exclusive apartments with communal pool behind.
The development will be set in a gated community and each villa will boast of a stunningsea-view, a large plot of land, 50m2 infinity pool and sun terrace, bbq area, parking spaces etc. Each villa of cca 300m2 will also have direct access to a secluded bathing area carved into the rock enjoying full privacy from the adjacent villas. It is very rare to find seafront villas in Dalmatia without an intervening road.
All apartments will boast large terraces, excellent sea views, garage spaces and use of communal pool. This is a truly unique project in this region.
